Parking & How to Find the Studio
Fairchild Photo Co. is located inside The Radiant Collective creative studio in downtown Springfield, Missouri at:
227 E Walnut Street, Springfield, MO
When you arrive, head to the black door immediately to the left of Pappo's Pizzeria & Pub. Located on Walnut Street near downtown Springfield’s historic square and just minutes from Hotel Vandivort.
Preparing for your session
Sessions always feel best when you come as yourselves. Here are a few tips to help things feel relaxed and stress-free.
- Choose outfits that feel comfortable and true to you
- Focus on coordinating rather than matching outfits perfectly
- Give yourself extra time before the session so things feel relaxed
- Don’t stress if kids need breaks, we’ll follow their pace
- Feel free to bring snacks, comfort items, or favorite toys along

Each piece is chosen to photograph beautifully in the studio’s soft natural light in downtown Springfield and heirloom-inspired neutral tones.
This helps make styling simple, keeps your session cohesive, and allows you to arrive with less stress and fewer decisions.

Wraps and Props
The studio is fully stocked with newborn wraps, layers, blankets, props, milestone setups, and simple cake smash setups in Springfield, MO, all chosen with a timeless and natural style in mind.
Everything is prepared before your session so you do not need to worry about bringing extra items unless there is something sentimental you would love included.
From newborn portraits in the downtown Springfield studio to milestone and cake smash sessions, every detail is designed to keep the focus on your baby, your family, and the connection between you.
Little Ones in The Studio
Because the studio is a shared creative space, I do ask that little ones stay within the area I am actively photographing in for everyone’s safety and to help protect the calm environment for other photographers who may also be working nearby.
Please plan to stay within arm’s reach of your children at all times during your session. This helps keep little ones safe around studio furniture, props, lighting equipment, and the stairs nearby while also making the session flow more smoothly.
If you’re bringing toddlers or siblings, I highly recommend bringing a few small quiet toys, snacks, or comfort items to help keep them happy between photos. I do keep a few simple toys in the studio, but bringing a favorite item from home is always helpful.
To be respectful of the shared space, families will need to remain inside the studio room if other photographers are present, except for restroom needs.
This helps keep the experience smooth, safe, and stress-free for everyone in the building while still giving your little ones a cozy place to settle in.

Where should I park for my session?
There are several convenient parking options near the downtown Springfield studio:
• street parking nearby
• parking behind Pappo’s Pizzeria & Pub. ($10) This is the most ideal since it's the closest to the door especially if you want convenience or if you have a session longer than 2 hours (Newborn Sessions)
• the parking garage off McDaniel (paid parking, usually around $10) also the next closest option.
The garage is a short walk to the studio entrance.

Are there stairs to reach the studio?
Yes — the studio is located upstairs inside a downtown historic building.
If you need help walking up with baby gear, I’m always happy to meet you downstairs.
